Baramulla: The Indian Army has recovered a high quality wire cutter from militants in Baramulla district, which, they said, is able to cut even the strong border fences.
A senior army officer said that they were puzzled to see the wire cutter which cuts any kind of wire “like butter”.
He said it was a matter of concern that even as army has installed strong concertina and razor wires on borders to stop infiltration, the militants were laced with latest equipments to cut through it.
“It may be available in market anywhere but I have never seen such a strong cutter which cuts wires like butter,” an army official said.
The cutter, they said, had the name “Total” and letters “350” inscribed on it, and said it may be of Chinese, or some other origin.
Similarly, the army said, militants were now being equipped with new laminated maps which show location of infiltration routes, army camps, and civilian population.
