JKLF Chief Yasin Malik detained from Kashmir capital to foil Lal Chowk march

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik from the city centre to foil the march to Lal Chowk called by the joint resistance leadership against fresh killing spree.

Malik, who had evaded arrest from his Maisuma residence was detained by cops outside the Masjid-e-Ameer Hamza in the adjoining locality of Koker Bazaar, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. Malik, they said was bundled into a vehicle and taken to the police station.
