Srinagar: The 804th birth anniversary of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RA) will be celebrated at Nizamuddin Dargah on November sixth, organisers told Kashmir Reader Monday.
They said that the nightlong celebration will start on November 6 during which special prayers and the qawwali programme will be organised. The food prepared at the langar will be thrown open for public at 8pm.
“The holy grave will be cleaned around 2:00 am and from 3:00 am onwards, sandalwood paste sandal and attar will be smeared at the mausoleum,” the organisers said, adding “Lastly, chadar will be spread on the holy grave after which special prayers will be offered after morning prayers,”
After the morning namaaz (fajr), devotees can offer flowers and chaadars,” adds Nizami.
