Dozens injured near gunfight site in Kulgam, two referred to Srinagar

Srinagar: Dozens of civilians have suffered injuries during clashes with government forces in Kulgam district of southern Kashmir.

Sources said that government forces fired indiscriminately on protesters besides using pellet fires. The forces action left several injured many with bullets.

They added that more than six people suffered injuries after an unexploded shell blasted near the gunfight site.

Hospital sources in Anantnag told Kashmir Reader that they received 8 injured so far. “3 of them have bullet injuries and two among them have shifted to Srinagar.”
