“Events like this will generate tremendous interest among youth, which in turn could help in channelising youth minds in a positive direction,” Watali said. “Kashmiri youth adore sports, especially the water sport. These sports will also help in spreading awareness among people about the importance of staying fit.”
Watali said that the registration is open for interested participants from the last couple of days and will be till October 23, the day of the opening ceremony as on-the-spot registration and sports persons can collect entry forms from the sports section of the Armed Police Headquarters, Batamaloo.
