Srinagar: The Muslim League Friday organised a condolence meeting to pay tributes to the slain Srinagar militants killed in an encounter with the government forces.
A top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander, Mehraj-ud-Din Bangroo, was among four persons killed in a fierce gunfight in Srinagar’s downtown on Wednesday.
“The meet was chaired by the senior ML leader Mohd Rafeeq Ganaie,” the spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi said in a statement.
The leaders threw a light on the resistance movement and paid rich tribute to Bangroo and his associate, it said.
Ganai said, “Kashmiri’s will never forget the sacrifices given by these brave hearts for the cause of right to self-determination.”
He also laid stress on the need to resolve Kashmir dispute, and added this is the biggest obstacle in the way of peace in south Asia.
