Militants ambush army patrol in south Kashmir’s Pulwama, 7 soldiers injured

Srinagar: At least seven army men were injured when militants ambushed their Casspir vehicle in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Official sources told Kashmir Reader today that militants detonated an IED when Casspir vehicle of army’s 55 RR was passing through Trichal Bridge on the Pulwama-Lassipora road around 9:45 pm on Thursday. In the IED explosion, seven soldiers were injured.

Three of the soldiers with grave injuries were removed to army’s Badamibagh cantonment hospital in this capital city for treatment, they said.

Meanwhile, a local news agency reported that the militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The outfit has claimed that 3 army men were killed and seven others injured in the blast in which their vehicle was completely damaged.
