SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir State Education Council and Private Schools’ Association Jammu Kashmir (PSAJK) on Friday held a joint condolence meeting over the demise of Ahmad Fikri Arief, son of Dr Habib Khirzen, in Indonesia.
An official statement issued here said the members of both JKSEC and PSAJK expressed sorrow over the “great loss” to Khirzen family.
The 36-year-old Ahmad Fikri Arief passed away on 15 October 2018 while on way to Jakarta Islamic Hospital, Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta, Indonesia. He is survived by a wife and a daughter of 16 months.
Since last Friday to Sunday afternoon, Arief had been invited by the Ma’arif Insitute (founded by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Syafii Maarif, former chairman of Muhammadiyah) to be a resource person in the National Workshop on the Future of Millennial Generation). He passed away peacefully on the way to the hospital. He was buried in the family graveyard, at Jetis, Magelang.
JKSECK and PSAJK expressed deepest condolences to Dr Habib Khirzen and his family and prayed to Allah to shower His blessings on the departed soul and grant him a high place in paradise, and courage to the bereaved family.
The meeting was attended by Chairman PSAJK G N Var, Convener JKSEC Prof Hamidullah Marazi, Dr Iqbal Qureshi, Khurshid Bismil, Mushtaqul Haq Sikander, Shaikh Inayatullah, Hashma Qureishi, and others.
