TeH criticises govt’s ‘vengeful’ attitude towards resistance leadership

SRINAGAR: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat on Tuesday criticised government for what it termed as inhuman and vengeful attitude towards the resistance leadership.
“The state is virtually reeling under martial law like situations,” a spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat said in a statement.
He said the fundamental rights of people are being trampled while leadership continues to be caged.
He termed the authorities’ decision to keep party chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehraie under continuous house detention as “dictatorial”.
“Sehrai Sahib was scheduled to go for medical check-up and appointment has been fixed but authorities didn’t allow him to go which is inhuman and condemnable act,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Mohammad Ashraf Laya was released on bail on Tuesday, the spokesperson said adding that Laya was detained on October 8 and his hearing is scheduled in October 30.
