Anti-poll protesters attack BJP candidate in Nowshera

Srinagar: Anti-poll protesters on Tuesday attacked a Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate in Nowshera area of the city outskirts.

Shazia Khan, who is contesting from Nowshera, was attacked with stones at Nowshera Chowk this morning, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. Though Shazia escaped unhurt with minor bruises on her nose, her car suffered damages.

“Angry protesters threw stones and bottles at her car breaking the windows. She fled from the spot along with her PSOs,” witnesses said.

Shazia hails from Barbar Shah locality of Srinagar. She is contesting from Nowshera, a women reserved ward of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
