Forest corporation employees stage protest, demand regularisation of jobs, pending allowances

Srinagar: The employees of the Jammu and Kashmir forest corporation today staged a protest here demanding release of pending daily allowances and regularization of their jobs.

The employees under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir forest corporation (JKFCU) assembled at Pratap Park here and staged anti-government demonstration, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. Chanting slogans, the protesters were demanding regularisation of daily rated workers, protection of state forest corporation, release pending daily alliance and implementation of seventh pay commission.

Union President, Bashir Ahmad Bhat said that the employees were  being deprived of their legitimate rights by the state government by non-implementation of seventh pay commission.

“Even 26 percent of employees daily alliance (DA) is being held without any reason or rhyme,” he added.
