South Kashmir: Shopian shuts in protest against Hurriyat activist’s killing

Shopian: A complete shutdown is being observed in this south Kashmir Township against the assassination of a Hurriyat Conference (G) activist by unknown gunmen on Thursday.

All shops, business establishments are closed in the town and the adjoining villages against the killing of Hurriyat activist, Tariq Ahmad Ganie of Meminder village here, eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader. The shutdown has also affected movement of public transport.

Ganie was killed by unknown gunmen near his village after he left his house with an unknown person on Thursday.
