ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday reiterated that it supports Kashmir’s right to self-determination and will continue its support to “freedom fighters”.
Pakistan Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari quoted by The News said India is committing “serious violations” of human rights in Kashmir. Her remarks came during a meeting of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by Convenor, Ghulam Muhammad Safi.
“They discussed the prevailing human rights situation especially United Nations, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Report on Kashmir and how best we can proceed further on conflict resolution,” The News reported.
“Innocent people of Kashmir valley are denied the fundamental right to self determination which is guaranteed by the International resolutions. International community should come forward to resolve the longstanding issue of Kashmir,” Mazari added.
