Muslim League grieved: Condemns killing of pro-freedom activist in Shopian

Srinagar: The Muslim League Friday said slain Manan Wani will live in the hearts of people forever and the whole Kashmir is expressing grief over his killing.
“Our freedom struggle has witnessed great scholars and intellectuals laying their lives,” the spokesperson of Muslim League, Sajad Ayoubi said in a statement.
He said Wani and his associate has once again proved that youth of Kashmir are ready to sacrifice ever thing for just cause, adding: “The government of India is not paving way for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue and it makes negative effects on the psyche of youth resulting in a situation we see nowadays.”
The spokesperson also condemned the killing of its activist – Tariq Ahmad Ganie in Shopian by unknown gunmen. “Ganie, from 1990, was associated with Freedom Movement despite facing many hardships and has spent 10 years of his life in different jails,” he added.
