Municipal polls: Polling begins on a high in Uri; 35% voters cast votes till 10 am

Baramulla: The northern Kashmir’s Uri township is witnessing brisk polling in the third phase of local bodies’ polls in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

An official said that 35.11% polling was witnessed till 10 am. A total of 1247 voters have been polled their votes so far out of 3552 registered voters. These include 685 males and 562 females.

Polling began on Saturday for third phase of the urban local bodies’ elections in 96 wards spread across four districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Polling began at 6 am and is slated to end at 4 pm.
