SRINAGAR: National Project Implementation Unit, a unit of MHRD Govt of India in a recent communication has appreciated the efforts of Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Affairs BGSBU in recognition of his efforts as coordinator TEQIP cell in implementing Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme in The school of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
According to a statement issued here, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) is among the selected institutions of higher education in India which have been selected for TEQUIP -III under the joint initiatives of MHRD and World Bank to improve the quality of technical education in India.
Under TEQUIP, the statement said, School of Engineering and Technology, BGSB University has been organising various national and international seminars, conferences, interactive sessions, Technical fests, induction programs and many such activities to give a world class exposure to the engineering students. “Under TEQUIP, University has upgraded instrumentation facilities, workshops, laboratories and library of the School of Engineering and Technology,” it said.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Javid Musarrat while congratulating Prof Iqbal and his team said that there are visible changes in the academics and infrastructure of SOET through the effective implementation of TEQUIP Phase III. “The efforts are being made to develop SOET as centre of excellence in the field of Engineering and Technology,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prof Iqbal Parwez thanked his entire team for their efforts and pledged that all such efforts shall be made to develop SOET as model institute of engineering and technology.
