Srinagar: The Pahalgam Master Plan will be placed before State Administrative Council (SAC) by the end of this month for approval, the government informed the J&K High Court Tuesday.
Additional Advocate General (AAG) B A Dar said that the process has been initiated and by the end of this month, Pahalgam Master Plan would be placed before SAC.
Hearing a PIL on Pahalgam Master Plan, the division bench of Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Alok Aradhe directed that the process be initiated immediately and status filed before this court by October 25.
Meanwhile in compliance of order dated July 29, the government informed the court that the Solid Waste Management have been prepared and sent to Law Department for its approval. The court sought latest status by next date of hearing.
On previous hearing court had directed Chief Secretary to take effective steps for implementation of SWM bylaws. The court had told the official to ensure that enforcement of SWM (Solid waste management) system is in place in the state. It had said that for effective implementation and enforcement of SWM bylaws reports can be sought from other states.
The court was also informed about the submission of application forms online for building permission.
The court had directed for making the process convenient and easy for people applying for permission for repairs and renovations of already existing structures.
