North Kashmir: 52 votes polled in Watergam, Langate

Baramulla: Only 52 votes were polled for the twin municipal committees of Watergam and Langate, elections of which were held today amidst tight security.

In two of the wards of the Langate municipal committee, 33 votes out of 650 were cast at the end of the polls, officials told Kashmir Reader. Among them, 22 were polled by men while eleven others by female.

There are no polls on the 11 of the thirteen wards of Langate municipal committee since the candidates have been declared winners unopposed.

In Watergam municipal committee, just 19 male voters turned up at the polling booth to cast their vote. The voter turnout at Watergam was 7.03 percent.
