Srinagar: The Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Tuesday appreciated the people of Kashmir for boycotting civic polls and said the no participation of people in is an eye-opener for the Government of India.
“The polling percentage of the sham elections testifies that people of Kashmir have rejected the democratic process,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
Terming the whole process a “military exercise”, the spokesperson said India should read the writing on the wall and should realize that they cannot fool the people of Kashmir anymore.
“The poll boycott by people should ring the alarm bells in the power corridors of New Delhi and should aware them that the ‘suppressive and oppressive’ tactics cannot deter aspirations of people,” the statement reads.
The spokesperson said the people have time and again shown that they are ready to sacrifice everything for Kashmir cause, and “no power on earth can force them into submission”.
“For how long will New Delhi fool its people and the world community on Kashmir,” she said.
