Angry youth thrash voter in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

Anantnag: A voter was beaten up by angry youth in Khanabal area of this south Kashmir district.

Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that a group of youth intercepted a voter when he came out of the polling booth established at the Khanabal high school here this morning.

The voter, whose identity is not known, was beaten up by youth for participating in the elections.

At least 199 votes have been cast at the polling booths for the 16 wards till 10:00 am.

38 candidates are in fray for the 16 wards.
