Srinagar: Train service resumed on Tuesday after remaining suspended for a day due as parts of Kashmir went to ULB polls on Monday.
The Joint Resistance Leadership had called for a general strike on the first of the four-phased Urban Local Bodies (UBL) and Panchayat polling on Monday.
A railway official said that the train service was suspended on Monday due to “security reasons”.
Trains will chug on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region. Similarly, trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir.
