Ramban accident: Edu dept grieved over death of teacher, two students

SRINAGAR: Secretary School Education Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G N Itoo and Director School Education Jammu Rakesh Kumar Srangal have expressed shock and grief over the death of a teacher Mudassir Ahmad Mir of Bankoot and two students in the tragic road accident at Ramban.
Mudassir was posted at High School Chanjaloo Zone, Banihal, and the two students – Sunil Singh of Digogh, Ramban and Irfan Suleman of Panthayal, Ramban – were studying in 11th class at Higher Secondary School Ramban.
In a statement, Secretary Education said the department stands with the family members of the deceased at this hour of grief and shall extend all necessary help.
He directed Chief Education Officer Ramban, Hameed Fani to ensure all possible help is provided to the families of the deceased.
DSEK and DSEJ besides other officers of the department, teaching fraternity and others have also expressed shock over the loss and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
“It is very unfortunate that in a tragic accident at Ramban, a number of precious lives were lost, particularly one of our teachers Mudasar Mir of Banihal who was travelling to attend a training programme on Learning Outcomes at Ramban, and two students of Hr Sec School Ramban who were also travelling in the ill-fated bus,” they said.
