Chairman vows to take school to new heights of progress
SRINAGAR: Ingenious School of Education Malla Bagh on Sunday celebrated its first annual day with students showcasing talent on the occasion.
During the event, the school, set up last year also gave brief about the achievements and future plans.
The day began with recitation of Qur’an and Nat Khawnai by students, followed by performances by primary students that had different messages for the audience.
Chairman of the institute Mir Murtaza Asif while welcoming the guests said the school was his dream. He acknowledged the support given to him by friends, family and the parents of the students.
Mir underlined the need for more efforts to make the institute a success, asking his team members to work with more zeal and effort and not let complacency overtake them. He assured the parents that school will endeavour to excel in all fields.
“I’m grateful for all those who supported me. This day holds a special significance and place for the school history,” the chairman added.
The teachers of the school on the occasion gave a gist of activities the school has added in its curriculum to make learning more interesting.
Apart from smart classrooms, the school authorities are focusing on sports activities with its students securing top positions in martial arts this year.
The teachers themselves performed the traditional dance rouf, stressing upon bond with culture.
The parents and siblings of the students applauded each performance by the students.
The chief guest of the function was Dr A R Yousuf, former Dean Academics, Kashmir University. Other guests included Dr (Prof) Khurshid Mahajan, Head of the Management Studies, Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Dr Nazir Ahmad, Dr Wajid Yousuf, Aijaz Ahmad, Sheikh Showkat Ahmad and Dr Shakeel Ahmad.
The function ended with the vote of thanks presented by the principal of the school, Mukhtar Ahmad Mir.
