Clashes break out in north Kashmir’s Bandipora, woman injured

Bandipora: A woman has been injured with pellets as violent protests have erupted in parts of this north Kashmir Township, where first phase of local bodies polls is underway.

Shabeena, wife of Javid Ahmad Dar was injured after being hit by pellets when clashes erupted in Lankreshipora village here this afternoon, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.

Clashes, witnesses erupted after angry protesters attacked a police vehicle with stones.

At Lankreshipora, polling for Ward number 8 is underway.

Meanwhile, clashes have also erupted in Plan Bandipora near government girls higher secondary school. The government forces are using teargas shells to disperse the stone-throwing youth.

    India should end human right violations and use of chemical in Kashmir. The history is being recorded of their atrocities on people of Kashmir” which is worse than what they suffered themselves under Britishers.
