Urges administration to bring killers to justice
Srinagar: The National Conference delegation Saturday visited the families of two slain party workers – Nazir Ahmad Bhat and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, killed by unknown gunmen in Srinagar on Friday.
“Ali Mohammad Sagar, leading the delegation, expressing sympathy with the families, said the party’s rank and file stand in unison with them, adding the deceased had dedicated their lives for the cause of development and progress of the people,” the statement said.
Speaking on the occasion, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani urged the administration to nab the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Terming the killings as inhumane, the party leader Mubarak Gul on the occasion said, “Killing a non-violent person is equivalent to killing the whole humanity.”
Women’s Wing president, Shameema Firdous termed the killing a personal loss to her. “Deceased always highlighted the woes of impoverished and worked tirelessly for the local developmental issues,” she said, the statement said.
