Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik Saturday paid tributes to the pro-freedom leader – Doctor Farooq Haider on his anniversary, and said he (Haider) was a legend and a humble son of the soil.
“Till his last breath, Haider stood wedded to the cause of freedom. He was a man with a mission, a selfless soul and dedicated to the Kashmir cause,” incarnated Malik said in his message, according to the statement.
Haider died in the year 2009 on 6th October at Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
Present struggle for freedom is formulated and practiced by sons of soil like Haider, Malik said, and “thus no power on earth can defeat or weaken it”.
Terming Farooq Haider as his childhood hero, JKLF chairman said that he was in himself a revolution, an ideology and a pious soul. “His clinic located at Sadder Rawalpindi was a shelter for every homeless, deprived and ailing Kashmiri,” he said.
