Applied in 2006, selection list yet to be published: Class 4th aspirants protest in Baramulla

Srinagar: Class 4th aspirants who had applied for the posts in various departments in 2006 on Thursday held a protest demonstration in Baramulla.

The aspirants said that they had applied in different departments in 2006 and till date the government has failed to publish the selection list of the candidates.

The candidates who had applied for the posts vide advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated 18-10-2006, under endorsement number DDCB/2006 class 4th/8522-35, dated 19-10-2006, assembled at Kiryapa park Baramulla on Thursday and staged a protest.

Shouting slogans against Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and director planning, the protesters marched towards the office of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and staged a sit-in protest.

The aspirants said that for past 12 years the district administration has been playing with the sentiments of the candidates.

They said that in the month of June the Deputy commissioner Baramulla in a video massage assured the candidates that the list will be published in August. “He also informed the media through information department that candidates will not suffer more and list will be made public within a weeks time but till date no list has been published.”

“In June 2018, DC Baramulla Nasir Nakash and director planning Abdul Gani Malik assured the grievance cell of Governor that the list will be published within a few days but several months have passed and the list is nowhere,” they said.

The aspirants said that they have been visiting the DC office Baramulla for last several years but the officials only make assurances.

The protesting aspirants appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene into the matter and resolve their issues.
