Six months after mysterious death of brother, missing girl’s body found in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal

Kangan: Six Months after the body of a Kangan youth was recovered from a Nallah, dead body of his young sister was Tuesday found in the same canal raising questions about their mysterious deaths.

Officials said that the body of a young girl who was reportedly missing from a week ago, was recovered from a power canal in Panzin Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday afternoon.


Officials said that the body of 25-year-old girl identified as Wahida Akhtar daughter of Mohammad Alam Awan of Satrina Kangan was recovered about 3 Miles away from her home in a power canal of Upper Sindh Project Kangan today afternoon.

She was missing last week on 29.06.18 from her home.

Pertinently body of Shakeel Ahmed Awan a PG student brother of the deceased girl was recovered from the same power canal six months ago on 19th May this year after he went mysteriously missing from his home.
