Srinagar: Muslim League Saturday condemned the arrest spree of youth across Kashmir and said it is going unabated.
“Scores of young, as well as old, are being put behind bars. Southern districts of Kashmir are witnessing a reign of fresh arrests and family members of militants are being arrested by the authorities,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
He appealed to the international community to take a strong note of these human rights violations.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said that the plight of detainees in Baramulla jail is deeply disturbing and condemnable. “League expressed anguish and concern over ‘prejudiced attitude’ of jail Authorities towards inmates, political prisoners,” he added.
