2 south Kashmir students arrested in Chandigarh

Srinagar: Two south Kashmir students studying in Chandigarh have been arrested by government forces from their rented apartment for unknown reasons reports said.

The Students identified as Gazi Ahmad Malik of Heff village of Shopian and Mir Imran of Guder village of Pulwama, have been arrested last evening for unknown reasons.

Family sources of Gazi told Kashmir Reader that he has been arrested last evening after his rented residence was cordoned by forces.

“Identity cards of several students were snatched by forces but two were detained including Gazi and Imran who are pursuing B.Tech there,” Gulzar Ahmad, uncle of Gazi said.

He also said that the family of Gazi went to Zainapora police station in this regard where police assured them assistance regarding the arrest of their son.
