People have lost trust in JK-BJP: Congress

Jammu: The Congress Saturday said the people of Jammu region have lost the trust in JK-BJP party for its failure to come up to the expectations of voters during its rule in the state.
According to the statement, reviewing the preparation for local bodies’ poll in Jammu, The All India Congress Committee secretary co-incharge J&K affairs Sudhir Sharma asked the party cadre here to further gear up the campaign as the mood of people is favourable to congress as they want to teach a lesson to BJP for their politics of opportunism. “BJP stands fully exposed on all fronts after coming to power in the state for the first time through an unprincipled alliance with ideologically opposite party,” he said.
AICC secretary briefed the party leaders, the statement said, about the party’s directions regarding Mahatma Gandhi Jyanti on Oct 2 and Jan Sampark Campaign to be launched throughout country, to educate the masses about policies and programmes of the party and the failures and falsehood of Modi Government. The meeting decided to hold a function at Gandhi Chowk Satwari on Oct 2 in which all senior leaders and activists besides party candidates in the corporation would participate.
