SRINAGAR: JK Cements Employees Association on Saturday held a protest demonstration here demanding release of salaries pending for the last three months, and updating of CP Fund.
Scores of protesting employees of JK Cements assembled here in Pratap Park and marched towards the press enclave, chanting slogans ‘We Want Justice’. They also raised slogans against the Managing Director.
The protesters alleged that they face grave injustice.
JKCEA general secretary Javid Ahmad, said “We demand release of the pending three months salary and updating of CP Fund.”
“For the last 40 months, our CP Fund is deducted from our salaries, but has not been deposited in the CP Fund. Rs 300 of Department Welfare Fund are regularly deducted from our account but amount is not getting deposited in the separate welfare fund account,” Javid said.
The protesting employees also demanded the release of 38 percent DA and 6th Pay Commission arrears.
