Bandipora: Separate guesthouses for policemen will be constructed at district police lines where families of police personnel can come and meet them in each district in Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh told police personnel during an interaction programme here Saturday.
Singh stated this in reply to questions by policemen over security threats they face and in case they are not allowed or can’t visit home.
Singh said that the families of the police personnel can often come to the guest houses and spend quality time there.
“Guesthouses will be constructed soon even in Bandipora,” he said.
Singh also said that complete preparations have been made for the upcoming local body elections.
“Civil administration, CRPF, J&K Police and BSF were working in coordination so that a good atmosphere is maintained for holding local bodies and Panchayat elections,” Singh said.
Asked about the uncertainty in air as threats loom over the elections as even government announcing not to reveal the names of the candidates in the fray, Singh said, “It was not a worrisome situation for us since the civil admin makes its own decisions, we will leave it up to them.”
