Protests rock KU, IUST against Srinagar civilian killing

Srinagar:  The Students of the student of the Kashmir University (KU) and the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora, Thursday held protests against the killing of a civilian during a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Qamarwari area of Srinagar.

The students from various departments in both the universities came out of their classes and assembled in their respective premises to protest the killing of Muhammad Saleem Malik in Noorbagh area of Qamarwari.

The protesting Students shouted anti-India and pro-militant slogans, witnesses said.

26 years old Saleem was killed during a CASO in Srinagar after forces allegedly opened fire on him.
