Suspected militants abduct four cops in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian: Suspected militants have abducted four police personnel in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, sources said on Friday.

The abducted include 3 Special Police Officers (SPOs) and 1 Constable, they said.

They have been identified as SPOs Tajaullah Lone, Firdous Ahmad and Kulwant Singh, all three from Bategund, village near Kapren Shopian.

The fourth, a Constable has been identified as Nisar Ahmad from Kapren.

Sources however said that Tajahullah Lone is not working in the police department.

Local sources said that suspected militants abducted the said cops from their houses.

A manhunt has been launched in the area.
