Prof Ganaie is new Director IKS KU, Dr Mahfooza Jan is Chairperson CSAS

Srinagar: The Kashmir University has appointed Prof Mohammad Yousuf Ganaie as Director, UNESCO Madanjeeet Singh Institute of Kashmir Studies (IKS).
According to a statement, Prof Ganaie was presently serving as Head, Department of History at KU.
A doctorate in History from Kashmir University, Prof Ganaie has more than 22 years of teaching experience at Post Graduate level.
Prof Ganaie has guided many research scholars and has published more than 15 research papers in National and international journals of repute on various topics and has also published a book “A study in the rise and vision of nationalism”.
Meanwhile, in another order Dr Mahfooza Jan from Department of Kashmiri has been appointed as Chairperson Centre for Shaikh-Ul Alam Studies (CSAS), KU.
Dr Mahfooza has Doctorate in Kashmiri and a teaching experience of around 21 Years.
She has published 28 books and has 22 research papers published in various journals of repute.
Dr Mahfooza has been awarded with medal by the Lal-Ded foundation J&K in Sep 2000 for the outstanding contribution in Kashmiri language and literature.
