SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday paid tributes to Bilal Ahmad Najar, Noorul Amin Dugga and Maroof Ahmad Nath, of Khanabal Anantnag, who were killed “by police” on 18 September 2010.
Malik in a statement issued here said, “The two young innocent boys – Bilal Ahmad Najar and Noorul Amin Dugga were killed in police firing outside Ahle Hadees Masjid Khanabal in Anantnag on 18 September 2010 while they were joining funeral of another victim Maroof Ahmad Nath of the same locality and who was drowned to death earlier.”
“These young boys became victims of Indian aggression and till date their killers in uniform are roaming free,” he said.
Hailing the parents of the slain youth, Malik said that for the last eight years, these victims are fighting a legal battle against killers.
“Though the court has ordered the (prosecution) and even arrest of the killers, till date no one has been arrested in this case,” JKLF chairman said.
“Hundreds of innocents have been killed in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2016 and till date this spree of killings is going on and killers enjoying immunity from (prosecution) are at large. Instead of being penalised, (they are) are being promoted,” he said.
