Ganderbal: An eight-year-old boy, who was missing since Monday evening, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
Officials said that the body of Fasil Hussain Misgar, son of Mohammed Hussian, was recovered from a field near his residence at Busser Bugh Alastang Ganderbal.
Fasil was a student of class 6th at Govt Middle School Buserbugh.
Locals said that the news of his death spread like wildfire in the area putting the whole area into instant mourning and anger. People were out on the streets, some protesting and others rushing towards Fasil’s house.
“It is a cold blooded murder, we demand that killers be arrested and brought to book,” a group of protesters said.
Fasil’s home has drowned into mourning just four days after the wedding ceremony of his sister, locals said.
Later police reached the spot and assured protestors of through investigation.
Station House Officers (SHO) Mohammed Lateef said Fasil was missing from Monday evening as per his family and said that his parents hadn’t filed a missing report because they thought that he was visiting some relatives.
“We have registered a case in this regard and investigation is going on,” he said.
SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal said that a SIT headed by Dysp Hqr Ganderbal Fahad Tak has been constituted.
“A board of doctors will examine the postmortem and it will be video-graphed,” Poswal told Kashmir Reader.
However, after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the boy was handed over to his family.
