Police holds PCPG meet at Nowhatta

SRINAGAR: Police Station Nowhatta organised a Police Community Partnership Group meeting on Saturday which was attended by various community members.
“Representatives of joint coordination committee, Masjid Sharief Peer Haji Mohammad, Killi Masjid, Koker Masjid Malarta, Muhajir Masjid Saraf Kadal and other respectable citizens participated in the meet,” an official statement said.
The meeting was chaired by SDPO Khanyar, Raja Zuhaib and attended by others police officers.
During the meeting, the statement said, the participants raise several issues including the increasing number of non local tenants residing in the downtown without proper verification, use of domestic gas cylinders in huge quantity by Gold smith’s for business purposes, which anytime can led to huge loss of life and other issues.
The officers present in the meeting assured the participants that their issues will be redressed in shortest possible time.
The chairing officer constituted a team for verification of tenants. The team conducted checking in Saraf Kadal area and brought about 100 non local tenants to Police Station for verification.
