Health camp on personal hygiene held

Chadoora: The Islamia College of Science & Commerce in collaboration with Maxwell Health Care Center Chadoora organised a health camp on Saturday in Chadoora to create awareness among adolescent girls from disadvantaged communities on “Personal Hygiene”,
According to a statement, the aim of the awareness camp was to create awareness among the rural adolescent girls hailing from disadvantage communities.
Prof. Rehana Bhat and Dr. Saima Manzoor of the college interacted with a group of orphan girls and discussed various issues related to personal hygiene. Dr Parvaiza Mir, Gynecologist, conducted a complete physical check-up of the girls and gave a detailed presentation on the topic.
“Personal hygiene kits were distributed among the girls by NSS team of Islamia College of Science and Commerce among the girls. We plan to organize more programmes on this issue in the coming months as lot of awareness is needed on this issue especially in rural areas” said Prof Rehana.
