Grameen Bank conducts ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ at village Satrayan, Jammu

JAMMU: Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department in collaboration with NABARD conducted GoI campaign ‘Swachh Bharat Mission – Swachhata Hi Seva’ at village Satrayan district Jammu hewre on Saturday.
Chairman J&K Grameen Bank, Janak Raj Angural said that every branch of J&K Grameen Bank would aware people about sanitation and hygiene, “which can only be achieved by making surroundings clean and green”, an official handout read.
Staff members of J&K Grameen Bank took a pledge to clean their surroundings which includes office complex as well as residential and related areas, read the handout.
HOD, Financial Inclusion and insurance Department, J&K Grameen Bank, Vipan Gupta said that the every branch of J&K Grameen bank will conduct a awareness camp in their respective villages from 15th September 2018 to 2nd October2018 in which they will aware the people about why to keep their surroundings clean and how to make better sanitation practices like using a toilet, handwashing, health and hygiene, etc. They will also organise cleaning of streets, drains and back alleys through awareness drives and also organise waste collection drives in households and common or shared spaces, it further read.
