18 students selected in placement drive held at BGSBU

SRINAGAR: The Training & Placement Cell of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri on Sunday organised a one day on campus placement drive for the students of B Tech.
The drive, as per a statement issued by the university, is aimed at “taking yet another step towards providing better placement opportunities to the students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University”.
The statement said a team of technical and HR officials of CINIF Technologies Limited, a Chandigarh-based Telecom company, were invited to the campus.
A large number of final year students faced the selection process which consisted of group discussion, aptitude test, technical interview and HR interview.
After the rigorous selection process, the visiting HR team selected 18 students at a handsome package of Rs 3.6 lakh annum.
“The visiting team was quite impressed by the technical knowledge and communication skills of BGSBU students and expressed their willingness to visit the campus every year and give employment opportunity to the students of the university,” the statement said.
The senior HR Manager Aman Singh said he would recommend BGSBU to his other HR friends in other corporate.
“The guests complimented that BGSBU had one of the most beautiful campus and was a perfect place to study. They thanked the university for the invitation and hospitality,” the statement said.
Vice Chancellor BGSBU Prof Javed Musarrat interacted with the HR officials and encouraged the participating students.
He said 100 percent placement of the students of various departments was his aim for which he has already directed the Training and Placement Cell.
“The students who have passed out from this university or shall be passing out are the ambassadors of BGSBU and it gives me great pleasure to see the students of this university scale new heights in their career,” he said.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof Iqbal Parwez said the placement of students is on priority at BGSBU. He said such events are a regular feature of BGSBU as before this a mega drive and many other drives had been conducted for the students by the university and plans for inviting more good companies have been chalked out.
Dean Students Prof G M Malik expressed his pleasure and emphasised upon the importance of campus placements. He congratulated the students and assured the recruiters that they will get best quality students from BGSBU.
