Train service suspended in Kashmir, internet service snapped in south

Srinagar: Authorities on Saturday suspended train services between Baramullah and Qazigund in wake of a gunfight between militants and government forces in Chowgam village of Qazigund area, official sources said.

A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants at Chowgam area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after forces launched an operation late last night.

Sources said that internet service has also been suspended in Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir.
