Lightning strikes Uri; 100 sheep, goats killed

Srinagar: At least 100 sheep and goats were killed on Saturday afternoon as lightning struck border town Uri in Baramulla district. 

Locals said that the Nazir Ahmad and Mohammad Sharif of Kalgay Uri took their livestock to nearby maintaining area for grazing.

However when heavy rains started the duo put their livestock into a tin shed. 

Soon the lightning hit the shed and all the livestock was killed.
