BGSBU organises technical festival

SRINAGAR: A two-day festival named ‘Alfresco Fiesta 2K18’ to celebrate engineers’ day was started in various departments of the School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, in Rajouri.
An official statement issued here said various technical events comprising of quizzes, crack the code, brainstorm, DIY and model making were organised in daylong celebration. Cultural and sports events were also organised on the occasion.
Vice Chancellor Prof Javed Musarrat, who was the chief guest on the occasion, interacted with the faculty and student coordinators and participated in various events and congratulated the coordinators for organising such a mega event in the university in very short notice.
He emphasised upon the need of such technical competitions in the university along with the regular class-work to bring out the best from the students. He expressed his desire to make the festival an annual event in future.
Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Mohammad Asghar, Dean School of Engineering and Technology, Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri, Registrar, also interacted with the participants.
Rakesh Singh Sambyal (Sr Assistant Professor, Dept of ITE) and Ruksana Thaker (Lecturer, Dept CSE), convenors of the event thanked the chief guest.
