Progress on optical fibre cable project reviewed in south Kashmir

ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of optical fibre cable project under the Government of India’s flagship BharatNet programme.
“Representatives of BharatNet, BSNL and officers of concerned departments attended the meeting regarding the successful laying of optical fibre cable in the blocks of Shahabad, Larkipora and Verinag in order to provide broadband connectivity for households and to government institutions in the district to realize the vision of Digital India,” an official statement said.
The meeting discussed various issues pertaining to the project and related issues.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADCs Anantnag, concerned SDM, Tehsildars and BDOs.
