Non local dies after found with throat cut in Sopore

Srinagar: A non local painter died on Tuesday after he was found with his throat cut inside his rented room at Arampora area of north Kashmir’s Sopore.

The non local labourer was found in critical condition and was immediately rushed to Sopore hospital where from he was shifted to SMHS, where later he succumbed to his injuries, sources said.

The deceased has been identified as Haroon Rashid (23), S/O Taiyab Alam, a resident of Padamapur, Dighalbank (district Kishanganj) Bihar.

He has been working as a painter in Sopore area from last six to seven years, sources said.

A senior police official while confirming the incident to Kashmir Reader said that the non local painter succumbed at Srinagar hospital and investigation in the case has been taken up.
