Organise training workshop
SRINAGAR: National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission (JKSDM) on Friday organised training-cum-advocacy workshop for skill implementing agencies at SKICC, Srinagar. The workshop is part of a two-day programme aimed at strengthening skill ecosystem in the state.
Secretary to Government, Technical Education Department, J&K, Mohammad Javed Khan said, “This is a very important opportunity for all the participating departments to understand the skill systems from the experts from NSDC, NSDA and DGT.”
The workshop was aimed at imparting training and awareness to the state level training providers about application of National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), National Apprenticeship Scheme, Recognition of Prior Learning, etc., an official handout read.
“Strengthening state engagement not only at policy framework but also at the level of implementation is the key for bringing quality in skilling in J&K where institutionalizing traditional skills and standardizing qualifications can be instrumental in recognizing the existing skills sets across different sectors in the state”, said Consultant, NSDA.
“The learning’s from the workshop were fruitful and helped in finding answers to most of our queries”, said a representative of Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
