Anantnag: The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is likely to hold the class 10th and 12th annual examinations from second week of October.
Although an official date-sheet has not been issued yet, an official told Kashmir Reader that class 12th and 10th examinations are “tentatively” scheduled from 2nd and 3rd week of October respectively.
He said that October was the “traditional” examination season at the JKBOSE.
“Due to unrest in the last few years, the class 10th and 12th annual examinations were deferred to November, but situation was relatively normal this year around, so we have scheduled the examinations from October itself when these examinations are usually held,” the official said.
The dates for the recently announced elections to Urban Local Bodies and Panchayats by the State Administrative Council (SAC), as per the official, have been fixed taking into consideration the JKBOSE’s tentative schedule for the annual examinations for the two classes.
While the SAC has scheduled the ULB elections from October 1 to 5, Panchayat elections will be held from November 8 to December 4.
