Udhampur: DC sets deadline for completion of dev projects

UDHAMPUR: To take stock of developmental projects and schemes undertaken by different departments, the District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, on Tuesday chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers and sets deadline for completion of under execution works of different departments.
“Detailed discussions were held on issues including functioning of offices from own and rented accommodations, land required for office buildings, convergence plan, physical and financial achievements under MPLAD/CDF works, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Gramin/Urban, Status of Subash Stadium NABARD electrification under DDUJGY/PMDP, Saubhagya/RGGVY, Traffic management in the city areas and National Highway were also discussed in detail,” an official government press release stated.
He also reviewed the implementation of schemes like Swachhta Hi Seva, Khelo India, PMAY/MGNREGA, SSA/RMSA, status of NRLM.
While reviewing the performance of under performing sectors, the he asked the district officers to accelerate activities to meet the targets set for the current financial year under district plan/ CSS.
He also emphasized on proper fund utilization released under each sector for the large benefit of general public.
The DC instructed ACD to prepare tentative estimate for construction of playground in every panchayat of the district under convergence in phased manner. Besides, he also directed PDD to speed up electrification of left out households under Saughagya Scheme and complete the same before November 31, 2018.
Under Khelo India, the DC asked Youth Services and Sports Department to organize block & District level competitions and conduct talent hunts to catch the young talent.
He exhorted upon close monitoring of developmental woks taken up different sectors and asked them to organize joint camps and citizen meetings to spread awareness about the government schemes.
Stressing on utilization of 100 % funds well before the end of financial 2018-19, he said atleast 70% expenditure should be incurred under all schemes before, December 2018.
